Welcome to Traveling with Grace

I'm Anna Grace! I believe humans are multi-faceted, and I want this website to reflect that. I love to travel and have learned so much along the way that I want to share with y'all. I'm also a nurse and want to help others in healthcare cope with the crazy things we see. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and soaking up as much knowledge as I can. My goal with this site is to share travel tips as well as pieces of my life. Welcome!

This week, we adventured over to Cape Disappointment (it was the opposite of disappointing). Just a couple hours from Olympia, this park is packed with history. You need a Discover Pass or you can pay the $10 to visit the park. We found overgrown ruins of military bunkers as well as a lighthouse that shone on where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean to help ships know where not to go. This park is also part of Lewis and Clark’s journey, and they have a trail that you can walk on where they once did.

My favorite parts of the park were walking through the bunkers and the walk up to the lighthouse. I felt like I was in a different era for a little bit.

If you like history, this is definitely the place for you! While we were here, we also camped right next to the beach and grabbed some ice cream from a popular place in town.
